3D Figurine Keychain from Photo

To make sure your keychain is durable for everyday use, we optimize the design to be "wear-safe". This means we prefer design choices like rounder shapes, slightly larger heads for characters, more overall volume, and simplified, glove-like hands. This minimizes sharp edges and thin parts that could snag or break. On the material side we use robust PETG or ABS for the core and seal the paint with a protective polyurethane (PU) clearcoat, so both shape and materials support everyday wear.

A good frontal photo is sufficient, but you can upload several photos and we will choose the best. Avoid heavy shadows or filters. We can also make a keychain from an image of your choice, or even a sketch.

Our keychains are made for real keychain life, not just a shelf. The core is printed in tough PETG (or ABS for certain designs). For some figurines we add a thin UV-resin middle layer to smooth the surface and give extra strength to tiny hands, necks and other delicate areas. On top of that we apply primer, hand-painted acrylics and a polyurethane (PU) varnish clearcoat. The PU layer needs time to cure, so we let each keychain rest before packing so the protective shell can fully harden. They are not indestructible, but designed to withstand normal drops, pockets, keys and bags in everyday use.

Keychain figurines are 6–7cm (2.36–2.76 inches) tall. At this size we have to keep the design simple and durable. You can add small extras such as hats, crowns, simple cake slices, cups, tiny books or a small name tag as mini accessories – we charge extra for these. More complex items (e.g. large bags, instruments, animals, vehicles, very elaborate dresses) are not usually available for keychains; larger figurines (10–12cm) or a custom quote are better suited for that level of detail. Glasses: we know glasses are an important detail for many people, but at this scale 3D glasses are technically difficult and need to be reinforced. That’s why we normally only paint glasses on. If you want glasses as a 3D element, please select them as a mini accessory in the configurator.

Normal everyday clothing is included in the base price. This covers items like T-shirts, trousers, simple dresses, small backpacks and wristwatches – we model these as part of the body, so they do not count as accessories. Very elaborate or unusual outfits (for example extremely wide skirts, multi-layered costumes or very complex patterns) often cannot be translated 1:1 at this small size and will be simplified by us. If a clothing idea clearly goes beyond a typical everyday outfit, we will discuss the possible extra effort and any surcharge with you in advance, or recommend a larger figurine (10–12cm) for more detail.

Production usually takes 5–7 days (priority: 3–5), plus shipping time based on destination. This includes modelling, printing, painting and curing time for the protective PU varnish, so your keychain is fully hardened before it goes on its journey.
