RepliToy Factory is the live dashboard of my tiny figurine factory in Düsseldorf. Instead of hiding the workshop behind a glossy shop front, I show what's going on: which figurines are printing, what's on the painting table, which parcels are being packed, and which experiments are running in the R&D corner.
Everything you see here is connected to real work in a very small studio – currently one person, a few printers, a painting desk, and a growing queue of custom figurines.
Every figurine and product I design, print, and ship adds XP to the factory. More orders and finished projects mean more XP and higher factory levels.
When the factory levels up, I invest in actual improvements: better print profiles, new tools, extra lighting for painting, new jigs and fixtures – sometimes even another printer.
The R&D Lab tracks things I'm actually testing in the workshop: new joints, new figurine models, more durable varnish, different materials or print settings for small details. When prototypes work, they become standard for future figurines.
Prints that failed, heads that finished, parcels that went out today – the log shows the small wins and annoyances that happen in a real micro-factory.
If you commission a figurine, it eventually appears here in the printing queue, in painting, and finally in the shipment list – anonymized, but real. Your order nudges the XP bar closer to the next upgrade and to the long-term dream of building something bigger that keeps the same values and soul, and brings quality and joy to the people who receive these pieces.
RepliToy creates personalised 3D figurines and keychains from photos – small, hand-finished characters made to look like real people (but not always 🙂). I model and print them in durable filament, then sand, prime, and hand-paint each piece in my little workshop in Düsseldorf. The goal is to make gifts that feel personal and a bit magical, not mass-produced.
If you like this kind of transparency, you're welcome to reference RepliToy Factory in your own articles, talks, or videos. Please credit RepliToy and link back to this page so others can discover the tiny factory behind these figurines.
