Mission Log

  • [2 days ago]Introducing new version of Tiny Chaos Cat keychain. With the new tail form the durability increased, nose is now a tiny insert in the color of sakura, and the surface is even more smooth on the sides. This all gives a very good tactile feeling. A great pocket companion for cat lovers!

  • ⚙️ [3/28/2026]We are back online! ⚡ And now with double capacity thanks to an additional machine.

  • ⚙️ [3/26/2026]Unexpected heatbed power-board failure on one machine this week 🔧 The fault has been identified, replacement is underway, and extra capacity is being added. An additional backup machine is arriving this week.
  • 🧩 [3/17/2026]From now on, every hand-painted figurine will include a QR code with a unique link to a small behind-the-scenes story, showing real photos of how it was made in the workshop.

  • [3/2/2026]Working on proof of work feature. Every figurine will have a shareable "how it was made" story. More value for customers and receivers.
  • [2/20/2026]We released the Tiny Glasses Generator: a tool you can use to design your own figurine glasses. From now on, we’ll use it as our default workflow for keychain-scale glasses, to improve durability and make customization easier. Try it here https://replitoy.com/labs/glasses

  • 🔬 [2/15/2026]Prototype museum: v0–v7. Keep the wins, log the rest.

  • 🔬 [2/12/2026]For this workshop keychain series I'm switching from Blender to a fully parametric CAD design of the base object. Result: tighter fit and cleaner seams, easier changes, faster variants for different workshops. Less "one-off model", more of a system.

  • 🔬 [2/2/2026]Durability tweak: the tiny first ring can open with heavy daily use, so I'm switching to a stronger split ring as the default. On request, I'll mail a couple for free (regular letter mail), especially for heavy daily key use.

What is RepliToy Factory?

RepliToy Factory is the live dashboard of my tiny figurine factory in Düsseldorf. Instead of hiding the workshop behind a glossy shop front, I show what's going on: which figurines are printing, what's on the painting table, which parcels are being packed, and which experiments are running in the R&D corner.

Everything you see here is connected to real work in a very small studio – currently one person, a few printers, a painting desk, and a growing queue of custom figurines.

How this tiny figurine factory works

📈Orders become XP

Every figurine and product I design, print, and ship adds XP to the factory. More orders and finished projects mean more XP and higher factory levels.

🎯Levels unlock real upgrades

When the factory levels up, I invest in actual improvements: better print profiles, new tools, extra lighting for painting, new jigs and fixtures – sometimes even another printer.

⚗️R&D projects are real experiments

The R&D Lab tracks things I'm actually testing in the workshop: new joints, new figurine models, more durable varnish, different materials or print settings for small details. When prototypes work, they become standard for future figurines.

📋The Mission Log is the event stream

Prints that failed, heads that finished, parcels that went out today – the log shows the small wins and annoyances that happen in a real micro-factory.

🎁Your order changes the board

If you commission a figurine, it eventually appears here in the printing queue, in painting, and finally in the shipment list – anonymized, but real. Your order nudges the XP bar closer to the next upgrade and to the long-term dream of building something bigger that keeps the same values and soul, and brings quality and joy to the people who receive these pieces.

About RepliToy

RepliToy creates personalised 3D figurines and keychains from photos – small, hand-finished characters made to look like real people (but not always 🙂). I model and print them in durable filament, then sand, prime, and hand-paint each piece in my little workshop in Düsseldorf. The goal is to make gifts that feel personal and a bit magical, not mass-produced.

If you like this kind of transparency, you're welcome to reference RepliToy Factory in your own articles, talks, or videos. Please credit RepliToy and link back to this page so others can discover the tiny factory behind these figurines.
